Job Description
AZZ has an exciting 1st shift opportunity for a Shipping & Receiving Clerk at our Baton Rouge facility. Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the receipt and/or shipment of materials, supplies, and products. You will be working in both an office and out in the yard checking in truckloads of steel. Must be able to work outside approximately 25% of the time.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Shipping/Receiving responsibilities (Signing in/our drivers)
- Credit card transactions & credit card log submission
- Maintaining the shipping tab in DGS to ensure all jobs are shipped properly in the system
- Verifying all documents have been uploaded into DGS before shredding packets
- Maintain iPad inventory and all that it entails
- Completing COI requests
- Purge documents when necessary
Qualifications
- 1 – 2 years related experience preferred.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production process, quality control and costs, knowledge of hand tools and equipment is preferred.
- Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
Minimum Education
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
