Job Description
AZZ has an exciting 1st shift opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor at our Tulsa facility. Reporting to the Plant Manager you will coordinate and supervise day-to-day duties of maintenance staff. You will oversee and perform maintenance services in the areas of plumbing, electrical, welding, construction, and/or machine servicing.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coaches and mentors maintenance staff and assists them to diagnose more complex problems with machinery or equipment problems.
- Inspects completed work to check that repairs have been completed correctly and that machinery and equipment conform to specifications and safety standards.
- Monitors the condition of maintenance equipment, materials, parts, and tools that are used by maintenance workers in their day-to-day activities.
- Trains new employees in the organization's operating procedures and standards.
- Counsels’ employees about work-related issues and assists employees to correct job-skill deficiencies.
- Monitors employees' work levels and reviews work performance.
- Hands on person to assist the maintenance team preferred.
- Ensure PM’s and inspection logs are completed as required
Qualifications
- 5 years related experience required.
- Knowledge of HVAC, Hydraulics, Electrical, pneumatic, furnace, compressor, plumbing, welding,and mechanical systems required.
- Knowledge of hot dip galvanizing, steel fabrication or other custom metal coating operations is preferred.
- Experience with HV 480 electricity, cranes, hoists, and forklifts strongly preferred.
- Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
Minimum Education
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
