What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Administrator position at Precix?
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the administration of shipping documentation and multi-location inventory accuracy.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Compare identifying information; counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other reports.
· Complete necessary shipment documentation to include bills of lading, freight bills, shipper export documents.
· Send advanced shipment notification (ASNs) to customers when required.
· Obtain necessary lab reports to go with shipments requiring them.
· Contact freight companies to schedule pick-ups.
· Control cycle counts and reconciliation of Oracle inventory.
· Pick tickets as needed and does ship confirms.
· Ensure proper receiving transaction are done on ordered items and routed to appropriate departments.
· Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
· Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
· Operate forklift truck or uses hand truck to move, convey or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
· Perform necessary transactions in Oracle and Bellhawk.
· Perform other duties as required or requested.

· None
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· High school education or three years of experience in a shipping/warehouse environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Must be able to read, write, speak English
· Must have basic math skills.
· Must have working knowledge of SAP software.
· Must be able to get Forklift license.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
· The work environment consists of shipping office and warehouse including loading dock from time to time. This environment may have exposure to varying temperatures, and smells.
· Work in high, precarious places up to 1/3 of the time.
· Noise levels moderate 2/3 to all the time.
