Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating heavy equipment, particularly excavators, and will be responsible for performing various tasks on construction sites. This role requires a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work effectively in a team environment while ensuring safety and efficiency in all operations.
Duties
- Operate excavators and other heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and water trucks on construction sites.
- Perform excavation tasks for foundations, trenches, and other site preparations.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other crew members to coordinate operations and meet project deadlines.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist in horizontal drilling operations as needed.
- Operate dump trucks and tankers for material transport when required.
- Participate in paving activities as part of road construction projects.
Requirements
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, specifically with excavators.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy machinery maintenance and repair.
- Experience with commercial driving is preferred.
- Familiarity with construction site operations and safety practices.
- Ability to operate additional equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, and tankers is a plus.
- Knowledge of Caterpillar machinery is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team setting.
