What are the responsibilities and job description for the Videographer position at Precision?
Location: This role is an in-person hybrid role in Frederick, MD. It is for local applicants only.
About Precision
Precision is a software company that helps the world's entrepreneurs know their numbers so they can build the companies they deserve. We consider ourselves a software AND a service business where we provide world-class onboarding and coaching services to our clients in addition to proprietary scorecard software that helps businesses really understand their data.
About the Role
We’re looking for a driver - someone who shows up with a camera and builds momentum. This role isn’t for someone who waits for direction. It’s for someone who sees the story, captures the moment, and moves fast. You will shoot and edit content, own the entire media pipeline end-to-end, and help build a world-class content engine around our CEO.
You bring the storytelling instincts, the hunger, the pace, and the operational discipline. We’ll give you access, resources, and a front-row seat to rapid growth. If you’re early in your career but you move like an outlier, you’ll thrive here.
You’ll be working directly with our Founder & CEO, Matt Verlaque - a former firefighter turned SaaS entrepreneur who built his first company from $0 to an 8-figure exit and now leads Precision. Matt creates content viewed by thousands of founders each week and collaborates with some of the best operators, storytellers, and creative minds in the industry.
This is a role for someone hungry, dependable, and serious about leveling up. You’ll have direct exposure to Matt’s network of world-class creatives and operators, along with the opportunity to learn the craft at a pace most people never experience. If you want to build your skills fast, take ownership, and be part of something growing, this is the kind of role that can change your trajectory. A rare opportunity to build something from the ground up.

Success Metrics
Within your first 30 days, you will:
- Produce real, usable content: edited clips, short-form cuts, B-roll sequences, vlogs, or rough cuts that show your storytelling instincts and your ability to move fast.
- Shoot consistently: daily or near-daily footage captured with intention.

- Establish predictable SLAs for both raw footage and simple creative outputs.
- Show that your pace, standards, and instincts fit a high-performance environment.
If you’re the right person, we’ll know it fast - your results will make it obvious. If you need constant direction or slow timelines, this won’t be the place.
Ideal Candidate
You thrive in environments where speed, creativity, and accountability matter. You don’t wait to be told what to do. You don’t need someone checking your work. You’re the one people rely on because you show up prepared, you move with intention, and you care about the details.

- A natural storyteller with a camera: you see moments, angles, narratives, and opportunities before anyone asks.
- A shooter and an editor: comfortable capturing footage and turning it into something meaningful.

- Proactive to your core: you anticipate needs, prep before anyone asks, and stay five steps ahead.
- Hungry to grow: you want to master your craft, build something long-term, and take pride in doing great work.
- Calm under pressure: fast-moving situations don’t throw you. You adapt, troubleshoot, and keep things moving.
