Responsibilities
- Remove damaged or broken auto glass using appropriate hand tools and power tools, ensuring safe handling and disposal.
- Install new auto glass accurately, aligning with vehicle specifications and manufacturer standards.
- Repair or replace windshields, side windows, rear windows, and other glass components as needed.
- Apply adhesives, sealants, and tinting films to ensure proper fitment and aesthetic appeal.
- Conduct inspections of vehicle glass for defects or damage and document findings thoroughly.
- Assist with calibration of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) related to auto glass replacements when applicable.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Requirements
- Prior dealership experience or background in automotive repair is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of ADAS calibration procedures and window tinting techniques is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and auto body repair.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and assembly techniques used in glass installation.
- Experience with auto estimating software for parts ordering and job documentation is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during glass removal or installation processes.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; mechanic experience is beneficial but not required.
