Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Division 10 Drywall and Specialties Estimator role based in Jacksonville, FL. The estimator prepares detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for drywall, framing, plastering, Division 10 specialties, and related scopes for commercial construction projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing plans and specifications, analyzing project requirements, and developing accurate bids and proposals in coordination with project managers and field teams. The role also involves soliciting and evaluating subcontractor and vendor quotes, identifying value-engineering opportunities, and maintaining estimating databases and historical cost information. The estimator collaborates closely with operations and sales teams to support bid strategies, ensure alignment with customer expectations, and contribute to project handoff and preconstruction planning.

Qualifications
- Strong practical knowledge of Framing and Carpentry techniques and materials for commercial wall and ceiling systems.
- Experience with Plastering and drywall finishes, including understanding of quality standards and installation methods.
- Background in Remodeling and Commercial Construction, with familiarity in reading blueprints and construction documents.
- Proficiency in construction estimating software, spreadsheets, and takeoff tools; strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and scope documents accurately.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with project managers, field supervisors, vendors, and clients.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management to handle multiple bids and deadlines.
- Prior estimating experience in drywall, Division 10 specialties, or similar trades is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or degree in construction management or related field is a plus.
