Responsibilities
- Safely operate passenger vehicles, including personal car and , van, adhering strictly to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Plan optimal routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely arrivals and departures.
- Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, providing courteous and attentive service at all times.
- Maintain the cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle to ensure it remains in excellent condition.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding schedules, routes, or any delays while maintaining professionalism.
- Handle heavy lifting or manual handling tasks when assisting with luggage or cargo as needed.
- Follow all local, state, and federal transportation regulations related to passenger driving.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, chauffeur, shuttle driver, or in similar passenger vehicle operation roles.
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type
- Experience operating various vehicles such as buses, vans, limousines, or medical transport vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of GPS navigation tools and local driving routes.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on client service and professionalism.
- Ability to maintain vehicle upkeep through basic maintenance tasks.
- Knowledge of traffic regulations and safety standards applicable to passenger driving.
- Prior experience in medical transportation or paratransit services is a plus.
- Demonstrated reliability with a clean driving record and adherence to all transportation laws.
