Title: Research Scientist – Animal Studies
Location: Marlborough, MA (Hybrid)
Contract Length: 6-12 months with possibility for extension/conversion
General Description
- Experience with benchtop models using phantoms.
- Participation in preclinical investigations with tissue collection and biologic metrics.
- Familiar with numerical models with finite element methods.
- Skills on data collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and communicating experimental results to the team and organization.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Collaborate with the research team to develop experimental methodologies in benchtop, numerical, and preclinical methodologies.
- Execute benchtop and preclinical trial investigations, including collection, analysis, interpretation, and distribution of research findings.
- Capacity to integrate research outcomes into meaningful technological advances.
- Support regulatory submissions.
- Generation of reviews supporting technical documentation and product development phases.
- Contribute to the generation of intellectual property for the company.
- Interaction with third-party service research providers.
- Compilation and analysis of research data for scientific publications and technical writing.
- Attendance at relevant scientific conferences and meetings.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related scientific field. A PhD is highly valued.
- Previous participation in a multidisciplinary project including benchtop, numerical, and preclinical. Experience pulsed electric fields and electroporation applications is highly valued.
- Basic knowledge of electricity, mechanic, human anatomy and physiology.
- Self-driven skills for execution and education.
