As an acquisition management professional, you understand how critical both sides of the acquisition and contracts lifecycle are to your client’s mission. We’re seeking a Senior Acquisition Manager to support our Department of Homeland Security client by leading acquisition efforts, coordinating pre‑ and post‑award actions, and strengthening the processes that directly support Major IT Investments.


Senior Acquisition Manager


Position Overview:


The Senior Acquisition Manager provides comprehensive cradle-to-grave acquisition and contract administration support for federal procurements. The  Senior Acquisition Manager  supports all phases of the procurement lifecycle, ensuring compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and agency-specific policies while enabling timely and effective mission delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquisition Planning
  • Support development of acquisition strategies, market research, and procurement planning documents
  • Assist in drafting Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs), acquisition plans, and justifications (e.g., J&A/LSJ)
  • Pre-Award Support
  • Develop and review Performance Work Statements (PWS), Statements of Objectives (SOO), and Statements of Work (SOW)
  • Assist with solicitation development, evaluation criteria, and source selection support
  • Coordinate with Contracting Officers and stakeholders throughout the acquisition process
  • Award & Post-Award Administration
  • Monitor contractor performance against contract requirements, deliverables, and milestones
  • Review and approve invoices in accordance with contract terms
  • Track funding, burn rates, and contract ceilings
  • Updating data in contract reporting system
  • Contract Oversight & Compliance
  • Ensure contractor compliance with contract terms, security requirements, and applicable regulations
  • Maintain contract files, documentation, and audit readiness
  • Support modifications, option exercises, and closeout activities
  • Stakeholder Coordination
  • Serve as liaison between program office, Contracting Officer, and contractor
  • Provide status updates, risk identification, and issue resolution support

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with major acquisition programs or high-value contracts
  • Familiarity with systems such as PRISM, Concur, or agency-specific acquisition tools
  • Experience supporting IT, professional services, or enterprise-level procurements
  • Experience supporting federal acquisitions across the full lifecycle
  • Strong knowledge of the FAR and federal procurement processes
  • Experience with contract types (FFP, T&M, Cost-Reimbursement, IDIQ, BPA, etc.)
  • Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills


Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected salary range for this position is $130,000.00 to $185,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position.
