Summary
The Production Operator I performs all tasks involved in the production of the company’s products. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is efficient and safe as possible
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Works under the supervision of a department lead.
- Understanding of industry quality and safety standards.
- Ability to do repetitive tasks.
- Ability to clock in/out of jobs using JobBoss.
- Reads travelers, standard work instructions, and manufacturing prints.
- Places finished goods in the designated area.
- Maintains a clean & safe work area.
- Can competently run one work center in an operations department.
- Performs functional quality checks on production parts.
- Obtains first pcs inspections of all jobs run by at a least a setup operator.
- Shall maintain quality rates at 99% and production rates equal to or greater than 70%

- Mathematical Skills
Mathematical skills are extremely important in multiple departments at White Rock. Employees must have the ability to solve arithmetic equations (addition, substation, division, and multiplication). Conversion from imperial to metric is common practice.
- Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and depth perception.
- Quality Skills
Ability to learn and use a variety of inspection equipment. Ability to record measurement data on a computer. Ability to interrupt and problem solve quality measurements.
Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is moderately loud. Temperatures fluctuate according to season. We are not an air-conditioned facility.
Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma or GED Required.
- Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Must be able to use dial and/or digital caliper and other hand tools, measure their own work to ensure accuracy.
- Must be able to read and follow written work instructions.
