About the Position
As the Manager of Strategic Sourcing & Procurement, you will be responsible for end-to-end ownership of the US supply chain, including procurement, supplier partnerships, planning, and logistics. This is a highly visible leadership role combining strategic responsibility with operational execution in a regulated defense environment. You will lead supplier negotiations, drive cost and performance improvements, and ensure full compliance with ITAR and export control regulations. You will play a critical role in enabling successful global project delivery by serving as the primary US interface for international sales, finance, and program teams. This position is based in PT Defence’s office in Spanish Fork, UT, and reports directly to the local Managing Director with a dotted line to the Group Operational Excellence Director. Up to 20% of travel is expected.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
- Own and lead end-to-end US supply chain operations, including procurement, planning, and logistics execution
- Develop and implement sourcing and supply chain strategies to improve efficiency, resilience, and cost competitiveness
- Manage and develop strategic US supplier partnerships, including performance, risk, and long-term agreements
- Lead US supplier contract negotiations, including pricing, capacity, and commercial terms
- Ensure on-time, on-quality delivery aligned with international program and customer requirements
- Monitor supply chain performance (OTD, cost, quality) and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, disruptions, and bottlenecks
- Act as the operational owner of ITAR-compliant sourcing, export-controlled procurement, and logistics
- Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders, including Sales, Finance, Compliance, Legal, and Program teams
- Lead, coach, and develop a US-based supply chain team
- Ensure strong alignment between sourcing activities and commercial commitments

What We Expect from You
Your Work Experience, Education, & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree
- Min. 8 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or strategic sourcing within defense, law enforcement, aerospace, or other highly regulated industries
- Proven leadership experience with responsibility for end-to-end supply chain and procurement operations
- Strong track record in supplier negotiations, contract management, and commercial leadership
- Hands-on experience working with ITAR, DFARS, FAR, and export-controlled environments
- Experience working in ERP/MRP-driven supply chain environments
- Strong understanding of total cost ownership, cost modeling, and supply chain performance metrics
- Experience working internationally and cross-functionally with sales, finance, compliance, and program teams
- Ability to manage supplier risk, disruptions, and dual sourcing strategies
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams in a high-accountability environment
- Strong English communication skills and ability to interact with senior stakeholders across regions
