Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic experienced Generator Sales professional to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting and selling generator products to both residential and commercial customers. We’re seeking an experienced professional who can manage the end-to-end generator sales process — from customer consultation to project handoff. You’ll be the bridge between homeowners and our installation teams, ensuring every job is properly measured, detailed, and set up for success. Your ability to build strong relationships and provide exceptional customer service will be key to your success. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and recommend the best solutions to meet their power requirements.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting on-site evaluations and taking accurate measurements.
- Delivering exceptional customer service and identifying upsell opportunities.
- Documenting all necessary job details including electrical layouts, gas line routes, and installation specs. Gathering all information to get the job done - HOA information, utility information, load calcs to ensure generator size, route the gas and electrical lines, signatures/approvals, etc.
- Prepare sales proposals, quotes, and contracts in a timely manner.
- Performing sales reviews with the team to confirm project scope and expectations.
- Collaborating with install and operations teams to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Applying for customer financing through our available programs.
- Managing and updating estimates, pictures and notes within ServiceTitan.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through excellent customer service and follow-up communications.
- Attend trade shows, community events, and other networking opportunities to promote products and expand customer base.
Qualifications
- ServiceTitan experience required (or similar platform experience with a strong ability to learn).
- Prior sales or estimating experience — preferably in the generator, electrical, or HVAC industry.
- HVAC estimating or sales experience is a major plus!
- Proven upselling or sales success — proof of past performance preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to measure, document, and describe job site details accurately. Laying out the job as much as possible for installers.
- Assessing meter, panel & current electrical systems to find the most significant equipment and to satisfy the needs of the customer.
- Professional demeanor and a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
