GENERAL DESCRIPTION
To perform the job of Maintenance Technician successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function per the established Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure all parts meet or exceed quality expectations. The functions listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Perform preventative maintenance on facility machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair facility machinery and equipment.
- Inspect, evaluate, and inventory all lifting straps, harnesses, ratcheting straps for delivery vehicles, etc.
- General maintenance and repair of forklifts, overhead cranes, and company vehicle
- Identify tools and consumables used in the general and preventive maintenance of machinery and equipment.
- Log and maintain records of equipment maintenance and repair.
- Perform lock out/tag out procedures on equipment.
- Monitor and report any maintenance needed on all company vehicles.
- Work with management personnel to facilitate future expansion projects.
- Gain and utilize thorough knowledge of company history, culture, identity and goals.
- Help in other departments as needed.
JOB STANDARDS AND REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent, technical training a plus.
- Experience trouble shooting equipment issues and failures.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience using pneumatic tools, power tools, and hand held tools. Required.
- Experience operating and maintaining manufacturing equipment.
- Provide expertise and knowledge of repair and maintenance to current and future equipment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to read and comprehend written work instructions and procedures.
- Ability to read and write the English language.
- Ability to read and understand equipment manuals.

WORKING CONDITIONS
- Shop duties require indoor and outdoor work in a plant atmosphere. The environment may not be climate-controlled.
- Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels and extreme heights
- Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
