Precision Protective & Security Services is seeking professional, motivated, dependable, and alert Armed Security Officers to support our clients and join our growing field operations team.

This is not an “observe and report” position. This is not a “passive” role. This is not a “just a warm body” assignment. These are armed positions that require driving a company vehicle. Applicants must be at least 21 years old and have a clean and valid driver’s license.

Our officers provide an active and professional presence at our clients’ locations (such as apartment complexes, hotels, commercial locations, construction sites, parking lots/structures, or other locations). Responsibilities can include maintaining access control, identifying and reporting suspicious activity, responding to incidents, and serving as the first line of security for the location.

In this role, you will be expected to handle incidents professionally, enforce property rules effectively, document all activity clearly, and respond to all calls for service urgently. Calls could be responding to disturbances, trespassing compliance, vehicle violations, noise complaints, domestic disturbances, or other service requests. You will be not only a visible presence, but a proactive presence for the communities and properties you serve.

You could be assigned as a static officer where you will spend extensive time at a one to four properties a shift or as a patrol officer where you will be responsible for numerous properties in an assigned area. Officers are expected to work both types of assignments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct proactive patrols of assigned properties and patrol zones.
• Respond to calls for service in a timely and professional manner.
• Enforce client rules, property regulations, and applicable laws within the scope of authority.
• Address trespassing, disorderly conduct, suspicious activity, parking issues, disturbances, and other incidents.
• Prepare clear, accurate, and professional incident reports and activity reports regularly and promptly.
• Maintain radio communication with Dispatch and supervisors continuously.
• Work with local law enforcement, fire, EMS, and property management when appropriate in a professional manor.
• Maintain a professional uniform appearance and command presence.
• Safely operate patrol vehicles and assigned equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, along with reliable transportation to and from work.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain state registrations (PPSB and/or SLED registrations)
• Must be able to stand, walk, patrol, remain alert, and respond to incidents during assigned shifts.
• Must be able to communicate clearly by radio, phone, and written report.
• Must be dependable, professional, and able to work with limited supervision.
• Must be able to obtain required company certifications, including but not limited to TASER, OC, baton, CPR/AED, and any other assignment-specific training.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current PPSB registration and/or SLED registration (armed or unarmed) is strongly preferred. Otherwise, the ability to obtain upon hire is required.
• Prior law enforcement, military, and/or hands-on security experience is preferred. We are proudly veteran-owned and welcome prior, current, or former military and police officers!
• Experience providing detailed and clear reports, both written and verbal, on a regular basis.
• Prior experience in patrol and/or fixed-post hands-on security preferred. Experience in HOA, apartment community, hotel, retail, or property security is ideal.

Schedule

Schedules may vary by assignment and may include days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays. Many schedules follow a 12-hour Panama 2-2-3 schedule; however, applicants must be willing to work assigned shifts based on operational and client needs.
