Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Night Shift

Location: Upland, CA

Assignment Type: 6-Week Contract

Shift Schedule:

• Night Shifts
• Day Shift : 8am-4:30pm
• Available shift patterns:
• Thursday & Friday (24 hours)
• Saturday & Sunday
• Friday & Sunday
• May extend up to 36 hours per week
• Bill Rate: $23-$25 per hour

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support night shift/Day shift operations. The CNA will serve as a runner for laboratory services, assist with hospital billing/collections, and provide patient support including explanation of insurance details.

Schedule

• Night Shift Coverage (24 hrs per week, with potential to extend to 36 hrs)
• Thursday & Friday
• Saturday & Sunday
• Friday & Sunday (final schedule to be confirmed during onboarding) Day shift :8am-4:30pm
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Perform runner duties for the laboratory:
• Pick up and deliver specimens/blood from the lab promptly and securely.
• Provide support in hospital billing and collections:
• Accurately collect and process patient billing information.
• Assist with collections as required.
• Insurance guidance:
• Explain insurance details and coverage to patients in a clear and professional manner.
• Support nursing and administrative teams with patient-related tasks as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license/certification (State-approved).
• Minimum 2 years of hospital experience (required).
• Prior experience with hospital billing and collections preferred.
• Ability to explain insurance details effectively to patients and families.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently during night shifts.
