PAY RATE:$90-$93 per hour
This position has 2 different shift options. 4 - 10hour shifts - 6:30am-5:30pm 5 - 8hour shifts - 6:30am-2:30pm 10-15 on call shifts a month for STEMI/ Stroke Coverage. NIHSS required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care before, during, and after cardiac catheterization and related interventional procedures.
- Prepare patients for procedures by reviewing medical history, medications, labs, and consent forms.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and hemodynamic status throughout procedures.
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, including angiograms, stent placements, pacemaker insertions, and other vascular interventions.
- Administer medications, including conscious sedation, as ordered and within scope of practice.
- Operate and assist with specialized Cath Lab equipment and supplies.
- Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations, including code blue and other cardiac emergencies.
- Provide post-procedure monitoring and recovery care, including patient education and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
- Follow infection control, radiation safety, and hospital safety protocols.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab RN experience.
- Experience with cardiac catheterization, interventional cardiology, and vascular procedures.
- Strong knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring and emergency cardiac care.
- Ability to circulate and monitor during procedures.
Required Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – AHA
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Experience with EP Lab or IR procedures is a plus.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and workflows.
