Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining various industrial machinery to ensure efficient production processes. Your expertise in machine operation, technical troubleshooting, and precision measurement will contribute to delivering high-quality products that meet strict safety and quality standards. Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of manufacturing machinery including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, flexo presses, press brake machines, and CNC machining centers with precision and care.
- Set up machines according to technical drawings, blueprints, and production specifications using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manufacturing documents to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly of parts.
- Perform routine inspections and quality control checks using GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), shop math, and dimensional measurements to maintain product standards.
- Troubleshoot industrial equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime, applying mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety standards in production and following proper procedures for materials handling and tooling.
- Assist with materials handling, packaging finished products, and supporting assembly line operations as needed.
- Utilize shop tools and hand tools effectively for fabrication, assembly, or adjustments on machinery or parts.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize manufacturing processes and improve overall efficiency.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating CNC programming, CAM programming, CAD software such as SolidWorks, and understanding of CNC machining principles.
- Experience with industrial equipment troubleshooting and interpreting technical drawings for mechanical blueprint interpretation.
- Knowledge of Fanuc controls, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), stamping presses, flexo presses, press brake machines, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and CNC programming.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret manufacturing documents for precise fabrication.
- Skilled in the use of precision measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other measuring instruments; familiar with GD&T standards.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with factory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with safety standards in production environments to ensure compliance at all times.
- Capable of operating forklifts safely after certification; experienced in materials handling and packaging processes.
- Basic math skills necessary for shop calculations; experience with assembly line processes preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment efficiently while maintaining high safety standards.
