What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Inspector position at Precision Resources?
As a Quality Control Inspector III, you'll use your skills and expertise to ensure that our incoming parts, in-process production, and shipped products fulfill all quality requirements. You'll be responsible for visually inspecting materials, parts, and products at different stages of production, recording observations, and making recommendations for improving processes. Your daily work will include inspecting for structural flaws, internal defects, or missing welds, and determining whether to accept, reject, or request rework of defective or malfunctioning units or systems. You'll also apply, revise, and maintain our quality standards for receiving, in-process, and final inspection.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods
- Identify and document structural flaws, internal defects, missing welds, and other non-conformances
- Accept, reject, or request rework of defective or malfunctioning units or systems
- Record inspection observations and maintain accurate quality documentation
- Analyze findings and make recommendations for process improvements
- Apply, revise, and maintain quality standards and procedures for all inspection stages
- Interpret technical schematics, drawings, and geometric dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T)
- Draft work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent and typically 5 or more years of relevant experience
- Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
- Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
Required Skills
- Knowledge and ability to understand and interpret technical schematics and drawings
- Knowledge and ability to interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T)
- Extensive experience with finished goods inspection
- Experience with Costpoint and/or AEGIS-MES
- Understanding of material flow in operations
- Ability to draft work instructions and SOPs
- Proficient with Network , Security , CCNA and/or A
- Working knowledge of ISO 9000 and AS 9100 standards
