What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineering Technician position at Precision Resources?
We are looking for an Engineering Technician 4 to support our Space Systems Integration, Test, and Launch Execution directorate. As a member of the Spacecraft Operations department you’ll be responsible for the assembly, test, and launch of a wide variety of spacecraft and payloads. This position will serve on-site in Redondo Beach, Ca.
Responsibilities:
Performs a variety of duties assisting mechanical engineers in the development, assembly and integration of Space Vehicle mechanical and electro-mechanical components, assemblies, and systems. Devises, fabricates, and assembles new or modified mechanical components or assemblies. Participates in the development of sub-system and system test methodology. Assists with setting up and tests complete prototype and flight units and sub-assemblies under operational conditions.
Basic Qualifications for Engineering Technician 4:
- High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience.
- Willing to work any shift and cover extended work weeks as required
- Demonstrate technical knowledge in manufacturing operations and procedures as it pertains to mechanical assembly with a high attention to detail
- Hands-on knowledge and experience with the use of a variety of hand tools and mechanical equipment
Preferred Qualifications for Engineering Technician 4:
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office to supplement work order and other data requirements
- Comprehension with reading drawings, process specification, and work order instructions
- Experience working in clean room environments
- Proficient in use of precision measuring instruments
- Experienced in the spacecraft production and test methodologies
Salary : $45 - $55
