  • Perform wire cutting, stripping, crimping, splicing, connector pinning and depinning, soldering, desoldering, and electrical rework to required workmanship standards.
  • Install, connect, and verify avionics components, instrumentation, sensors, flight-control equipment, electronic assemblies, and associated wiring.
  • Use hand tools, crimpers, wire strippers, soldering equipment, multimeters, and other electrical test equipment to complete assembly, installation, inspection, and troubleshooting tasks.
  • Conduct continuity, resistance, voltage, polarity, insulation, and functional tests to verify the integrity and performance of electrical and avionics systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve wiring discrepancies, connector issues, electrical faults, intermittent connections, and system-integration problems.
  • Read, interpret, and execute work from technical drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering specifications, bills of material, and controlled work instructions.
  • Maintain accurate build, inspection, test, and discrepancy documentation in compliance with program, engineering, quality, and configuration-control requirements.

  • Follow established safety, Foreign Object Debris (FOD), Electrostatic Discharge (ESD), tool-control, and quality procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and test teams to support prototype development, production builds, aircraft integration, ground testing, and flight-test activities.
  • Maintain an organized work area and ensure tools, test equipment, and materials are properly handled and maintained.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience supporting avionics, aircraft electrical, instrumentation, flight-control, or electromechanical assembly and integration activities.
  • Hands-on experience with wire-harness fabrication, cable routing, wire stripping, crimping, connector termination, and soldering.
  • Proficiency using crimpers, multimeters, wire stripping tools, soldering equipment, and standard electrical hand tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, technical specifications, and assembly work instructions.
  • Working knowledge of electrical troubleshooting and use of a digital multimeter for continuity, resistance, and voltage checks.
  • Strong attention to detail, workmanship, documentation accuracy, and safety.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced engineering, manufacturing, production, or flight-test environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on flight aircraft.
  • Experience supporting aircraft instrumentation, avionics, electrical systems, flight controls, or aircraft modifications.
  • Experience with avionics system integration, aircraft wiring installation, and electrical functional testing.
  • Familiarity with aerospace-quality documentation, revision-controlled work instructions, and configuration management.
  • IPC J-STD-001, IPC/WHMA-A-620, or comparable soldering and wire-harness workmanship training or certification.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, unmanned aircraft systems, spacecraft, prototype, or low-volume production environments.
  • Experience with ESD controls, FOD prevention, and aerospace manufacturing or maintenance procedures.
