Machinist – Grinding 1st and 2nd Shift

Centerless Grinding, OD Grinding and Surface Grinding

Precision Punch and Tooling, located in Berlin, CT, is a growing company with state-of-the-art equipment and factory.  Because of our continuing growth, we are offering opportunities for experienced, skilled Centerless Grinders, OD Grinders, Surface Grinders and Form Grinders for our First and Second Shift manufacturing operation.

First and Second Shift Opportunities:

• Minimum of 3 years OD / Form / Shape Grinding.  Must be able to grind a radius and angles while holding tolerances of or – 0.0001 of an inch.

      Experience with set-up and operation (3 years minimum). 

      Or

• 3 or more years of Centerless Grinding with in-feed experience setting up and independently operating a Centerless grinder (experience with Cincinnati and Royal Master Centerless grinders preferred).

Or
 

• 3 or more years of Surface Grinding with set-up and operation of a manual and / or automatic Surface Grinder (experience with Blanchard, Okamoto, Harig, Amada, Wasino and ELB surface grinders are preferred).
   

Or

• Manual OD, ID, Shape and Form Grinding.  Must be able to grind a radius and angles while holding tolerances of or – 0.0001 of an inch.

      Experience with set-up and operation (3 years minimum).   

And

• Good shop math skills.
• Experience reading and working with blueprints.
• Strong working knowledge of measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, etc...
• Dependability is a must and work independently as well as successfully contributing as part of a team.
