The Opportunity

Precision Process is hiring a Mechanical Assembler to join our team. As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be involved in the mechanical fabrication, repair, modification, removal, and installation of various electroplating equipment. This is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday from 7am – 3:30pm, reporting to the Assembly Supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Read/interpret blueprints, sketches, part lists, and work orders to determine methods of fabrication/assembly
  • Use hand routers, table saws, plastic welding guns, plumbing tools, hand tools, and drill presses
  • Troubleshoot failures and perform repairs
  • Ensure work environment is clean and safe
  • Ensure quality of parts and assembly process
  • Accurately complete documentation
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Minimum high school graduate or equivalent
  • Ability to read, write, and understand verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to interpret blueprints (PID) for plumbing and pneumatics
  • Understanding of Geometric Dimensions/Tolerances
  • Ability to travel approximately 10-15% of time
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Manual dexterity needed to perform some job functions

Working Conditions

  • Environment may be high temperatures depending on ambient outside temperature
  • Steel/composite toe boots, safety glasses, and hearing protection required
  • Could be exposed to background noise, odors, dust, heat, and cold
