What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Assembly Technician position at Precision Process?
The Opportunity
Precision Process is hiring a Mechanical Assembler to join our team. As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be involved in the mechanical fabrication, repair, modification, removal, and installation of various electroplating equipment. This is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday from 7am – 3:30pm, reporting to the Assembly Supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Read/interpret blueprints, sketches, part lists, and work orders to determine methods of fabrication/assembly
- Use hand routers, table saws, plastic welding guns, plumbing tools, hand tools, and drill presses
- Troubleshoot failures and perform repairs
- Ensure work environment is clean and safe
- Ensure quality of parts and assembly process
- Accurately complete documentation
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Minimum high school graduate or equivalent
- Ability to read, write, and understand verbal and written instructions
- Ability to interpret blueprints (PID) for plumbing and pneumatics
- Understanding of Geometric Dimensions/Tolerances
- Ability to travel approximately 10-15% of time
- Basic math and computer skills
- Manual dexterity needed to perform some job functions
Working Conditions
- Environment may be high temperatures depending on ambient outside temperature
- Steel/composite toe boots, safety glasses, and hearing protection required
- Could be exposed to background noise, odors, dust, heat, and cold
