Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Purchasing Agent role based in Twinsburg, OH. The Purchasing Agent will manage day-to-day purchasing activities, including sourcing suppliers, preparing and processing purchase orders, and maintaining accurate purchasing records. Responsibilities include monitoring inventory levels, coordinating material deliveries, and ensuring that production teams have the components and parts required to meet project timelines. The role also involves reviewing pricing and terms, supporting contract negotiations with vendors, and evaluating supplier performance for quality, cost, and on-time delivery. The Purchasing Agent will collaborate closely with engineering, production, and customer service teams to align purchasing decisions with project specifications and customer requirements.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Purchasing and Procurement activities, including sourcing materials and managing supplier relationships.
- Experience creating, processing, and tracking Purchase Orders with attention to accuracy and timeliness.
- Skills in reviewing terms, pricing, and delivery conditions with vendors.
- Strong Customer Service orientation when working with internal teams, external suppliers, and customers.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment; familiarity with packaging machinery or food industry equipment is a plus.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and bills of materials to ensure correct materials are ordered.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple open orders.
- Proficiency with ERP or MRP systems and standard office software (e.g., spreadsheets, email, document tools).
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in supply chain, business, or a related field is preferred.
