This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with VP of Pre-Construction/Estimating to select jobs for bidding
- Prepare and submit bids in accordance with company policies
- Develop detailed job packages including labor, material, subcontractor, equipment rental, and overhead costs
- Ensure proper bid documentation and bonding requirements are met
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, potential clients, and suppliers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and self-motivation
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and industry software (Blue Beam, Trimble MEP AutoBid)
- High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 2 years of commercial plumbing estimating experience
- Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents
- Strong math skills for calculations involving fractions, decimals, and proportions
- Knowledge of job site safety requirements; ability to conduct pre-bid walkthroughs
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
