Duties
- Operate septic pumping trucks and related equipment to remove waste from septic tanks efficiently and safely.
- Conduct routine inspections of septic systems to identify potential issues or malfunctions.
- Perform repairs on septic tanks, pipes, pumps, and related components using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Use an ohmmeter to test electrical components within septic systems, ensuring proper functionality and troubleshooting faults.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, including pumpings, repairs, and system inspections.
- Follow safety protocols strictly during all operations to protect yourself, colleagues, and the environment.
- Assist with troubleshooting complex septic system problems by diagnosing issues accurately and implementing effective solutions.
Experience
- Prior experience working with septic systems or in a related field such as plumbing or waste management is required.
- Familiarity with operating heavy-duty trucks and pumping equipment is required.
- Ability to read technical diagrams, manuals, and schematics related to septic system components.
- Basic knowledge of electrical testing tools such as an ohmmeter.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly and effectively.
- Excellent physical stamina for lifting, digging, operating equipment, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
