Job Summary:
Precision Paint Group, a division of Patrick Industries is seeking a highly motivated individual to add to their growing Continuous Improvement (CI) Team. The Continuous Improvement Specialist will work under the direction of the Paint Group CI Director to grow their knowledge and gain experience while working with Operations Teams inside the facilities to continue the goal of establishing and maintaining a continuous improvement culture within the Business Units.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assisting in creating and the implementation of CI programs, policies and procedures throughout the company and adjustment of programs and procedures accordingly
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement, waste removal, and cost reduction
- Work through general management to implement any Quality or CI opportunities identified
- Work to and communicate issues to the proper parties professionally with solutions to issues
- Working with Management and Team Members on creating and implementing quality inspections
- Documentation of any quality or CI related issues throughout the business unit with clear communication back to vendors detailing product defects
- Lead Quality or CI related audits as needed
- Ensure team members are following processes in accordance with established SOPs
- Organize and conduct large and/or small CI training classes as needed Other daily administrative and reporting tasks as assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Related field is desired, but not mandatory
- Those with experience in manufacturing are highly desired
- A high level of personal integrity (self-esteem, confidence, honesty, and respect) are necessary qualities
- Ability to influence others in support of sound business decisions and build collaborative relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Possess a high standard of attention to detail
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with a wide array of personnel ranging from hourly employees to senior management
- The ability to speak in front of large groups of people is mandatory
