About the Role:

The Pro Mechanical - Toolroom position is a critical role within the oil and gas extraction and mining sectors, focused on ensuring the availability, maintenance, and precision of mechanical tools and equipment essential for operational success. The role involves managing the toolroom inventory, performing routine inspections, repairs, and calibrations to maintain optimal tool performance and safety standards. This position requires close collaboration with engineering and field teams to support ongoing projects and minimize downtime caused by equipment failure. The successful candidate will contribute to improving tool management processes and implementing best practices to enhance operational efficiency. Ultimately, this role ensures that all mechanical tools are reliable, compliant with industry standards, and ready for deployment in demanding environments at the work site.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working in a mechanical toolroom or maintenance role.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical tools, equipment maintenance, and calibration techniques.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory requirements in industrial environments.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory management and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of welding, machining, or fabrication processes related to tool repair.
  • Previous experience working in a toolroom environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the toolroom inventory, ensuring all mechanical tools and equipment are accounted for and in good working condition.
  • Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs on mechanical tools to guarantee safety and functionality.
  • Calibrate precision instruments and tools to meet industry and company standards.
  • Coordinate with engineering and field teams to understand tool requirements and provide timely support for ongoing operations.
  • Document all maintenance activities, tool usage, and inventory changes accurately to support audit and compliance requirements.
  • Implement and improve toolroom procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce equipment downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations related to tool handling and storage.
