What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pro Mechanical - Bolt Up Fitter position at Precision NDT LLC?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Tighten and loosen bolts on flange connections and manways as per ISO drawings and work plan.
- Assist with installation/removal of blinds as needed for pressure testing purposes.
- Possess skilled knowledge of pipe fittings, bolts, valves, etc. as required.
- Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment according to specifications.
- Use impact wrenches, combination wrenches, and line up pins to install valves and piping spools. Actively participate in a strong safety culture.
- Recognize safety hazards and risks.
- Participate in onsite safety meetings.
- Follow client safety policies and procedures.
- Be aware of changing conditions on an active jobsite.
- High attention to detail to avoid reworks and errors.
- Must be able to work on elevated platforms and maintain balance when stepping on narrow platforms such as beams and pipes.
- Must be able to perform these activities while wearing an approved full-body harness and lanyard. Lifting and carrying awkward objects up to 60 lbs.
