Commercial Audio Visual (AV) Technician
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Commercial Audio Visual (AV) Technician to install, troubleshoot, and support AV systems in corporate, education, healthcare, and commercial environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with structured cabling, displays, conferencing systems, and technology integration, along with strong customer service skills and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Install commercial AV systems including:
- Video conferencing solutions
- Large-format displays and projectors
- Audio systems (microphones, speakers, DSPs)
- Control systems and touch panels
- Digital signage
- Pull, terminate, label, and test low-voltage cabling (Cat6, fiber, HDMI, speaker wire, control cabling)
- Mount displays, cameras, racks, speakers, and AV hardware safely and professionally
- Read and interpret system drawings, wiring diagrams, and floor plans
- Configure and troubleshoot conferencing platforms and room systems
- Perform system testing, commissioning, and quality checks
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues onsite
- Provide customer training and basic system orientation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite
- Collaborate with project managers, programmers, and clients to ensure successful project completion
