What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd shift Laser Etch Operator position at Precision Medical Technologies, Incorporated?
POSITION SUMMARY:
Primary function is to laser etch product per customer print.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (essential functions of position)

- Understandings of laser etch requirements per print and/or customer specification. These include but are not limited to: part number, lot number, logo, dimensioned lines, etc.
- Perform Copper Sulfate Test when applicable.
- Demonstrated ability to use measurement equipment including but not limited to micrometers, calipers, height gages and optical comparator as required.
- Identify established dimensions and complete in process inspections and document results on in process inspection sheet.
- Demonstrate ability to program laser per print requirements, correctly save program into customer file by part number.
- Demonstrate ability to save appropriate set up information into customer file by part number. (Physical set up information on table. Pin positions, v-blocks….)
- Complete laser mark verification form per order.
- Complete laser mark certification form per order if required
- Can read and understand shop traveler, and identify any special process or work instruction specified.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and good housekeeping practices.
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous laser mark experience preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Ability to use micrometers, calipers, optical comparator and height gage as required.
NONESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS (not necessary but preferred):
- Experienced using computers (data acquisition)
