Job Overview
Our main goal is to meet the needs of our clients, which requires us to be flexible in our routines, so every day will look a little bit different. A typical day for a locksmith may include a day in the shop learning about company procedures, location of tools and inventory, meeting with walk-in clients, answering phone calls, or learning and practicing basic technical skills. Other days you’ll visit jobs sites with higher-level technicians or on your own to experience on-the-job training and real-life situations to expand your growing skills with the goal of moving up to other technical positions.
The apprentice position is the starting point for every team member, making it a vital role in creating a unified skill-base with all our team members. This position is intended as a time of learning basic technical skills and about our team and how we work.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and replace locks for residential and commercial properties.
- Provide clients with advice on security measures and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and inventory of locks and keys.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Continuous learning of basic-level technical skills
- Continuous learning of company policies, procedures & expectations
- Assisting walk-in clients, as needed
- Assisting phone-in or email questions from clients, as needed
Requirements
- Mechanically inclined is not required, but recommended
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and with a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Valid driver's license is required.
- Willingness to complete a background check is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $46,000.00 per year
