POST ANESTHESIA RN (PACU)Job Title: RN – Post Anesthesia Care UnitRate: Up to $2430.00 weeklyLocation: Marlborough, MADay (8H)Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor patients' vital signs and level of consciousness post-surgeryAdminister medications for pain management and other post-operative careAssess patients for signs of post-operative complications and intervene as necessaryProvide patient and family education regarding post-operative care and recoveryCollaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionalsDocument patient status, treatments, and clinical findings accuratelyPrepare patients for discharge once they meet the required criteriaImplement infection control measuresAssist with patient transfers to appropriate care unitsRespond to emergency situations and initiate appropriate interventionsMaintain a clean and safe environment in the PACUProvide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their familiesOperate and monitor medical equipment used in post-operative careEnsure proper patient identification and maintain patient confidentialityParticipate in continuous education and training to stay updated with best practicesEducationGraduate from an accredited school of nursing.ExperiencePrefer a minimum of one (1) year clinic experienceExperience in a PACU or critical care settingMust have 3 years of intensive care experienceLicenses/CertificationsHave and maintain current licensure as a Licensed Registered Nurse within the state of employment.Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certificationBachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
