Assembler / General Labor

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Laborer to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the assembly and fabrication processes, ensuring that products meet quality standards while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This position requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to operate various hand and power tools, contributing to the overall success of our production line.

Responsibilities

• Drilling holes according to specs provided, into metal
• Assembling nuts and bolts in large racks on a continuous basis
• Standing/walking for all periods of time outside of designated break times
• Assembly in some hard to reach areas which will require bending, squatting, reaching and overhead access
• Painting and stenciling of metal racking to meet customer’s identification requirements
• Ensuring that work performed maintains production flow
• Assemble components on automotive racking according to specifications
• Run a variety of pneumatic, air and hand tools
• Able to use spray paint to apply stenciled information to product
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Capable of lifting 50lbs
• Not restricted by use of PPE such as approved safety footwear, respiratory protection, eye protection, hand protection and hearing protection
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to promote safety.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Perform routine inspections on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while working in the manufacturing environment.

Skills

• Ability to follow instructions
• Able to attend work on time, on a regular and reliable basis for each scheduled shift
• Previous experience in a manufacturing facility or warehouse setting is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot basic issues.
• Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and equipment commonly found in assembly lines.
• Experience operating forklifts is a plus but not required; training may be provided.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control during production processes.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors effectively.
