Materials & Processes Engineering Intern Conversion: (Early Career) at Phoenix, AZ
Citizenship Requirements: Must be a U.S. citizen, Permanent Resident (green card holder)
Minimum of a B.S. degree in materials science and engineering, metallurgical engineering and chemical engineering.
1. This position involves direct support of manufacturing activities and requires spending time in and around factory areas.
2. Supporting process troubleshooting efforts to quickly and efficiently resolve manufacturing process issues and coordinating with Materials & Process Engineering (M&PE) Labs to do root Cause Corrective Action as required
3. Operating testing and processing equipment that determine Chemical, Mechanical and metallurgical properties of materials and solutions. Create and execute test plans, write reports and input specifications for materials, tools, and processes
4. Prepare test specimens, calculate material properties based on test results, determine acceptability of test results to job specifications, and Prepare reports
5. Perform root-cause investigations and implement corrective & preventive actions for material and process issues
6. Qualify and approve equipment, materials and processes and Guide material testing in the Materials & Processes Laboratory.
7. Quality control, Auditing and product acceptance testing.
