PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Digital Order Operations Specialist is responsible for ensuring portal and EDI orders that do not process automatically are resolved quickly and accurately. This role supports the reliability and adoption of PPI’s digital ordering channels by processing exception orders, maintaining high accuracy standards, and assisting with portal onboarding and support as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
More specifically, the employee owner will:
Exception Order Processing
- Monitor PSXA dashboard and Salesforce queue for exception orders
- Investigate portal and EDI orders that do not process automatically
- Correct data issues and manually process orders into ERP when required
- Confirm successful order creation and clear exception queue
Order Accuracy and Execution
- Ensure accuracy of product, pricing, shipping, and fulfillment details
- Prioritize and process orders based on urgency and customer impact
- Maintain manual order accuracy target of greater than 99%
Continuous Improvement
- Identify trends in exception causes
- Communicate recurring issues to the Digital Customer Experience Manager
- Support process improvements to improve digital ordering reliability
Secondary Responsibilities
- Assist with customer portal onboarding activities
- Reset user passwords and assist with basic portal support requests
- Escalate non-operational issues to the Digital Customer Experience Manager

- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Information Systems, or related field preferred
- 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environments
- Familiarity with digital commerce or EDI processes
- Strong attention to detail with a proven track record of maintaining high accuracy in transactional work
- Ability to investigate and resolve data or process-related issues independently
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follow defined processes while exercising sound judgment
- Effective communication skills and ability to escalate issues appropriately
EDUCATION – EXPERIENCE – COMPUTER SKILLS
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Information Systems, or related field preferred; and/or
- Two to Five years related experience and/or training; or
- Equivalent combination of education or experience.
TRAINING – CERTIFICATIONS - LICENSES
- Continually participate in any related additional training.
