Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration units, and related mechanical equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
- Conduct field service visits to residential, commercial, or industrial properties to perform routine maintenance or emergency repairs.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to test electrical circuits and repair mechanical components effectively.
- Perform plumbing work related to HVAC systems, including pipe repairs and ammonia refrigeration setups where applicable.
- Maintain detailed service records, work logs, and reports documenting all inspections, repairs, and parts used.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HVAC technician or service technician with hands-on knowledge of HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems.
- EPA Type 2 Card.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and understand HVAC design principles.
- Experience with plumbing systems, appliance repair, boiler operation, and property maintenance is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems and the use of diagnostic tools like ohmmeters is a plus.
- Ability to perform welding tasks safely and effectively; experience with equipment repair is essential.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in the field while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.
