Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Hardscape Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing durable and aesthetically pleasing outdoor hardscape features, including patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other masonry elements. Your expertise in building materials, technical drawings, and outdoor construction will help bring landscape visions to life. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately execute hardscape installations.
- Prepare sites by leveling ground, setting forms, and ensuring proper foundation work using hand tools and power tools.
- Install various hardscape components such as pavers, bricks, stonework, concrete forms, and retaining walls with precision.
- Operate heavy equipment safely for excavation, grading, and lifting materials as needed on outdoor construction sites.
- Follow all safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and team members.
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to coordinate tasks like plumbing or electrical rough-ins that integrate with hardscape features.
- Complete quality inspections during installation to ensure durability, aesthetic standards, and adherence to construction plans.
Requirements
- Proven experience in outdoor construction projects with a focus on hardscape installation or masonry work.
- Skilled in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints related to building construction.
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, concrete finishing techniques, tile laying, and masonry methods.
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators or loaders on construction sites.
- Knowledge of safety protocols specific to outdoor construction environments and adherence to OSHA standards.
- Familiarity with building materials like concrete, stucco, roofing components, glass installation, and framing carpentry is a plus.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining high safety standards.
