**Quality Control Expert Wanted**
Precision Gears, Inc is seeking an experienced Quality Control Expert to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet quality expectations by supervising the production process and upholding safety regulations.
The successful applicant will perform regular product evaluations, record inspection results, and recommend improvements to the production process. To excel in this role, applicants should demonstrate great attention to detail with excellent technical and math abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the corrective and preventative action program and its effectiveness.
- Ensure verification of process control.
- Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records.
- Teach the production team about quality control concerns to improve product excellence.
- Resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
- Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control.
- Measure product dimensions, examine functionality, and compare the final product to specifications.
- Read blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand requirements of products and services.
- Provide Quality Management System training.
- Assist in Supplier Discrepant Material issues.
- Maintain the Document Control System.
- Maintain the calibration system.
- Maintain inspection records.
- Collect quality-related documentation.
- Assist in company's safety program documentation to ensure adherence to outlined OSHA requirements and national standards.
- Assist in internal training program documentation and development to ensure training adherence at all levels of the organization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of high school diploma.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 work environment.
- Demonstrated organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage many tasks/projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability in analytical thinking.
- Ability to present complex or difficult messages clearly and persuasively.
- Basic mathematical skills required.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
