This role plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the warehouse. Under direct supervision, this role is responsible for the logistics of receiving, processing, sorting, storing, and distributing materials accordingly. Actively participates in warehouse activities and operations.
Essential Job Functions
- Verify all incoming shipments to be accurate by comparing the invoice to the order and ensure all materials are in excellent condition. Conduct random spot checks on inventory counts.
- Record quantity of all incoming materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer software
- Run Parts to technicians/installers as needed.
- Responsible for loading and unloading vehicles.
- Marking and labeling stock according to company standards.
- Pull and stage parts in the morning and on weekends as scheduled for field staff.
- Monitor and report any missing or lost inventory to management.
- Maintain accurate records of products that have been stocked and provide management with an accurate representation of all materials. Performs regular cycle count to update and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Organize and sort stock within the warehouse by properly storing materials in their designated location and according to company standards.
- Assist in maintaining warehouse and related tools and equipment in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
- Comply with all safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Responsible for communicating errors to relevant parties.
- Dispose of leftover packing materials such as wooden crates, pallets, and cardboard.
- May cover daily responsibilities of other warehouse staff on an as needed basis in order to ensure effective daily operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment at all times.
- Follow department policies and procedures related to assigned duties.
- Follow quality standards and comply in accordance with the rules, procedures, and regulations.
- Assist in other warehouse tasks and duties as assigned by manager.
Education, Experience, Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Forklift certification and experience a plus
- Ability to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment
- Solid work history that demonstrates reliability; warehouse work experience is a plus
- Ability to lift or move heavy products
- Ability to operate powered equipment
- Basic computer skills for maintaining inventory logs and databases
