Precision Fluid Controls, Inc. designs, manufactures, and tests components for launch vehicles and ground support applications—providing many types of valves including throttling valves, ball valves, check and relief valves, vent and relief valves, pressure reducing, both manual and dome loaded, regulators, sleeve valves, butterfly valves, solenoid valves plus many others.
About the role:
PFC is in search for a Buyer/Purchasing Agent!
The role is a fully on-site role located in our Lincoln, CA offices.
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
What You’ll Do:
- Procure materials and services in accordance with organization's specified requirements
- Constant contact with suppliers and working through PO Issues (cost, quality, scheduled deliveries)
- Review supplier order acknowledgements for accuracy and alignment
- Review and monitor all open purchase orders to ensure timely arrival of materials supporting the manufacturing and project schedules
- Maintain the replenishment and inventory of material per production's demand. Communicate and resolve any risk of supply issues which could impact material delivery
- Collaboratively engage and communicate with both stakeholders and suppliers of any change which may impact procurement and the fulfillment of production demand
- Work with A/P (accounts payable), suppliers and other functional groups to resolve any procurement or accounting discrepancies
- Help maintain software data integrity by consistently monitoring lead times, min/max levels, safety stocks and pricing
- Perform other duties as required
What You’ll Need:
- HS Diploma/GED, BA/BS in business preferred
- Experience with Microsoft applications and ERP/MRP systems
- Technical acumen to interpret material requirements
- Ability to work independently or as a team member
- Process orientation and change advocacy
- Work autonomously with minimum supervision
- Strong communication skills
- A positive mindset and the ability to work in a fast-paced and quickly growing environment
