About Us:
Precision Fluid Controls, Inc. designs, manufactures and tests components for launch vehicles and ground support applications—providing many types of valves including throttling valves, ball valves, check and relief valves, vent and relief valves, pressure reducing, both manual and dome loaded, regulators, sleeve valves, butterfly valves, solenoid valves plus many others.
About the role:
PFC is in search for a Deburr Technician who will be responsible for edge deburring, tumbling, and establishing the required surface finishes on our aerospace valves and other components for launch vehicles (rockets!).
The role is a fully on-site role located in our Lincoln, CA offices and will report directly to the Shop Manager.
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
What You’ll Do:
- Deburr, finish, and clean machined aerospace components using tools such as hand files, scrapers, stones, abrasive pads, rotary tools, pneumatic grinders, and tumbler
- Apply both cosmetic and non-cosmetic grained finishes to parts
- Accept and follow priorities assigned by the Supervisor.
- Ensure proper handling and stacking of parts.
- Check finished processes and ensures accurate count.
- Handle delicate, high‑value aerospace components with care to prevent damage, nicks, or dimensional deviation.
What You’ll Need:
- Can accept verbal direction to use any of the above tools and understand what is required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with small, intricate components.
- Good manual dexterity and ability to work for extended periods using hands and fine-motor tools.
- Experience in manual machining
- Experience in deburring of machined goods
Nice to Have:
- Experience with hand and powered deburr tools, including files, air grinder, oscillating sander, tumbler.
