Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Turret Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining turret machines and related equipment to produce high-quality components. This role requires a strong understanding of CNC machinery, blueprint reading, and manufacturing processes, with an emphasis on precision and safety in a fast-paced factory environment.
Duties
- Program and set up CNC equipment to achieve precise machining results.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings to determine machining requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery.
- Handle materials using forklifts and other tools safely within the manufacturing facility.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Assist in fabrication, assembly line tasks, tooling setup, and packaging as needed to support production workflows.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating turret machines, and related manufacturing equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in factory environments and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and precision measurement techniques.
- Ability to operate hand tools and basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Experience with tooling setup, fabrication, materials handling (including forklift operation), and assembly line procedures preferred.
Job Requirements:
- Must be able to do basic math and use measuring tape
- Must have reliable transportation
- Ability to work overtime as required
- Ability to lift and move 50lbs regularly
- Ability to maintain an excellent attendance record
- Must be able to read and write English
Experience
- 1 year minimum verifiable work experience in a similar position. Most recent employment in a similar position with separation on good terms
Employment Type/Hours: Full Time / 40hrs / 4X10
Day Shift: Monday – Thursday
Hours: 6:00 am-4:30pm
Overtime as needed
Starting Pay Rate Ranges $20.00-25.00 an hour. Pay rate is determined based upon experience.
