Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking General Laborer to support daily operations in a fast-paced metal fabrication shop. This position involves material handling, basic machine operation, and assisting skilled tradesmen with production tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate band saws to cut metal materials to specified dimensions
- Accurately measure materials using tape measures and other tools
- Load and unload materials, equipment, and deliveries
- Safely operate a forklift (or willingness to be trained)
- Assist with shop organization and maintain a clean, safe work environment
- Support fabrication and machining processes as needed
Qualifications:
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately
- Prior experience in a fabrication shop or industrial environment preferred
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Basic welding or machining skills are a plus, but not required
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work on your feet throughout the shift
Work Environment:
- Industrial shop setting with exposure to noise, dust, and heavy equipment
- Requires standing, lifting, bending, and physical labor throughout the day
