What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optical Technician position at Precision Eye Care?
We are a busy, fast paced, private owned, Optical practice that strives to provide excellent patient care. We are currently looking to to add another Technician to our team.
We are looking for someone friendly, who enjoys working with the public, is dependable, able to multi task and is a team player. Attention to detail, superior listening skills, highly motivated, committed to success, patient focused and ability to follow direction are a must.
Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
- Assisting patients with selecting frames according to style, color and fit
- Explaining the proper lens offerings and lens treatments based on the patient's needs and prescription
- Going over insurance policies with patients and communicating coverage and co-pays
- Dispensing and fitting patients in their new glasses
- Doing repairs and/or adjustments for patients on their glasses
- Cross training will be done and may include: performing special testing on patients, as well as assisting the front office with copying, faxing, scanning, answering phones, and scheduling appointments.

EXPERIENCE IS NOT REQUIRED! On the job training will be provided for the right candidate.
