Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site CNC Machinist role located in Chippewa Falls, WI. The CNC Machinist will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC and/or manual machines, performing precision machining tasks, and ensuring the production of high-quality parts. Daily responsibilities include machine setup and calibration, operating milling equipment, and adhering to quality control standards to meet company and customer specifications.
• Machine parts on CNC and/or manual milling machines.
• Routinely work to a high degree of precision for dimensional size and geometrical tolerances i.e. flatness,
parallelism, perpendicularity using precision measuring tools and fixtures.
• Maintain dimensional requirements and critical features free of defects.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and machines.
• Maintain work area to be clean and organized.
• Maintain timekeeping forms daily.
• Inspect programs and parts for conformity to print dimensions.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Machine Operation and Machining
- Experience with Milling and operating CNC machinery
- Understanding of Quality Control processes and ability to ensure precision
- Ability to work with precision machinery in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and maintain cooperative attitude
- Ability to safely handle large dies in excess of 4,000 pounds using overhead cranes
- Must have awareness of safety protocols at all times
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to read and interpret technical blueprints
- Previous experience in industrial manufacturing or machining is preferred
- Associates degree or Technical certification in machining, manufacturing, or a related field is an advantage
- Must have a problem solving attitude.
