What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mold Maker position at Precision Die & Machine?
We are a small family owned business that has been building and repairing plasitc injection molds for 65 years. We are looking to add new members to our team! 5 years of experiance perfered. We are looking for someone to help with the final fit and assembly of new tools and to trouble shoot and repair existing tools. We are looking to fill 1 positions, one with an emphasis on EDM. Hourly pay, rate depends on experience and ability.
Responsibilities:
- Build and repair molds used in the production of plastic parts
- Operate electrical discharge machining (EDM) equipment
- Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy and quality of mold components
- Assemble and disassemble molds
- Perform maintenance and repairs on molds as needed
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers
- Experience in running sinker/wire edm
- Strong mathematical skills for calculations related to mold design and fabrication
- Attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot mold issues
