BWXT/Precision Custom Components (PCC) is seeking motivated college students interested in internship opportunities on-site at our manufacturing facility in York, PA.

At PCC, you’ll be part of a skilled team that delivers high-quality, made-to-spec components where precision, reliability, and customer focus matter. Whether you’re driving results in the office or making them happen on the shop floor, you’ll collaborate across departments to solve problems, support efficient operations, and help ensure every component is completed safely, accurately, and with precision!

Example Of What Our Interns Can Experience

• Work alongside engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams on real production projects, both on the shop floor and in the office.
• Assist mechanical and industrial engineers with design work, process documentation, time studies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Observe and support welding, fabrication, and machining operations to build hands-on understanding of how precision components are made.
• Help coordinate materials, inventory, and supplier activity to keep jobs moving through the shop on schedule.
• Collect and analyze production data, and present findings and recommendations to the team.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support safe, accurate, and efficient operations.
  
  

Education/Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, welding/manufacturing technology, supply chain, or related degree or certificate program.
• Relevant coursework or certifications (e.g., CAD, Six Sigma, AWS welding) are a plus.
• No prior industry experience required - we provide hands-on training and mentorship.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office); familiarity with CAD or ERP software is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, a team-first attitude, and a willingness to ask questions and learn.
• US citizenship is required
