Duties
- Perform detailed inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, bulldozers, and forklifts.
- Fabricate custom parts or modifications using welding, soldering, and power tools to meet specific repair needs or improve equipment performance.
- Replace or repair components such as wire ropes, tracks, undercarriage components, hydraulic lines, and hydraulic cylinders.
- Maintain detailed service records of all repairs performed and parts used to ensure accurate documentation for future reference.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a heavy equipment and/or crane mechanic
- Strong mechanical knowledge of equipment maintenance including hydraulics, diesel engine, and electrical systems.
- Skilled in reading schematics and OEM manuals for troubleshooting complex issues efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members and clients alike.
