Saw Shear Operator

Position Summary

Level One: Operators work under direct supervision to prepare slugs for forging. Doing so requires basic competencies with hand tools, operation of saws, and shears in order to produce slugs of proper dimensions. Operator will demonstrate competencies in interpreting work routers and instructions, basic shop math, as well as using hand tools and safely operating power equipment. Typically 0-1 Years of Experience with evidence of past experience working in a manufacturing environment using a variety of shop tools.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
• Operate saws and shear to produce material for forging
• Sanding and polishing operation on Outer Diameter Sanding Machine
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

Required Skills

• The ability to read and write English.
• Basic shop math
• Basic powered equipment operation
• Basic measuring tools
• Ability to lift up to 35lbs.
  
  

Required Experience

• Typically 0-1 Years
• 2-3 years experience preferred
  
  

Level Of Education

• GED or High School diploma preferred but not required.

For informational purposes only the range of pay for this role is $20 to $26US Dollar (USD)Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only this role is eligible to participate in the Companys Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Companys bonus multiple based on the Companys performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays.
